Hi, I'm Shonagh...

But please, call me Shon! I'm the face behind Footprints Through The Lens Photography, officially established in 2020. I am so blessed to have two wonderful boys, and a supportive partner, who, along with my beautiful mum, effectively led me to where I am today. Footprints is so sentimental to me and it is much more than a business. Being able to capture those raw and authentic moments to look back on in years to come, down your family line, is truly the most precious thing of all. Documenting and preserving moments in time in a story telling way is so important to me, and each and every moment is just as important as the next. Those happy moments, those sad moments, the real and raw emotional journey that life throws our way can be captured in a personal and special way for my families to keep forever.

Based along the South Coast of England, having grown up in Portsmouth, Photography has always been a little bit of an obsession of mine. There has never been a moment missed that I haven't captured in some way. Having my boys truly gave me the push I needed to take myself to the next stage in my journey, which now includes wonderful families who I form amazing relationships with. The loyalty and bond I have formed with many of them, is something special. I still pinch myself that I get asked to document families in the ways I do, and seeing my work displayed around homes, or shared socially, is a blessing like no other!

I travel all around this area and am so lucky to have families visit me from further a field too. There is nothing more satisfying than seeing and hearing the reaction from my families unique galleries, knowing I've provided them with a keepsake to last a life time.

I'm really quite an open person with my families and I feel this helps allow them to open up and share their lives with me too, which in turn impacts the art we then create during their sessions.
